Upon Their Arrival

Excitement seemed to flutter within the lithe she-cat, as Tigerheart's ears flicked at the sound of the river rushing along it's bank. Her small paws halted her, her tail flicking slowly behind her. Where was Marshstar? She crouched down behind a small bush, her ears flicking forward. Of course, she was looking around, her golden eyes glimmering. She shuffled her paws, sighing slightly. The smell of mice came to her, and she resisted the urge to hunt for it.

X. The sun shone brightly, fianlly rising to almost full height as the day moved on. There was a life breeze, causing the leaves to shiver and shuffle and bringing the scent of water and prey to any cats' nose. two dark brown paws moved in a steady beat over the leaf mold, making almost no sound as he followed the energetic she-cat. He felt another light breeze ruffle his sandy colored long coat. He, too, had the scent of mouse brought to his nose, but he ignored it. He weaved his way between the trees before finally reaching the river. It ran strongly, over the level it normally was at. Fish could be seen swimming with the current, darting past the cats as the water worked with them. Finally, he found the tabby she-cat, crouched down.

X. Alright, so, let's renew the scent markers. He said, once again in a brisk and business like voice. He turned around, padding to the border of ShadowClan and stopping. So, Tigerheart. Which do you prefer; hunting or fighting? She asked, knowing that he couldn't asses her skills because she was not an apprentice. If he got an idea, then he might be able to match her up with the right apprentice.

Tigerheart's ears flicked, and she crawled out from the bush. Her tail flicked, and she smirked. "Hunting is more. You know I don't fight that muchTigerheart said, flicking her tail in amusement. She stood at his side, glancing at the river. "Though, fighting is pretty close to hunting." Whiskers twitched, and she sighed. "So, I guess they are pretty much tied."

Her gaze went up to the pretty blue skies, remembering how her mother had pretty blue eyes, before she passed away. Oceaneyes had been very famous within RiverClan. She wondered if Marshstar knew about Oceaneyes. Tigerheart shrugged it off, and smiled. "We should go make sure that those filthy ShadowClan cats are staying within their own boundaries," she said, taking a few steps forward, glancing back at him, flicking her tail over his nose slightly.
